I’m sorry if you didn’t want a straight-up crossover, but you made mention to it and I just HAD to go there with this! ---- She hadn’t been born to this court. She had been stolen away, a piece of a raid Nicnevin’s servants had conducted under her suggestion--never direct order. Politics and all. All the same, the Unseelie queen had saved her from the delights of her court after they had had some fun with her. No, a pretty creature such as that could certainly be a useful pawn.
The dark queen had to been right. She was very successful. Both in luring in pets and in playing in both sides of the realm. It was so simple. Too simple. Boring, even.
But then she had met Clint. The runaway. The boy with blood on his hands, confidence and fear in his eyes, and tragedy on his skin. He was defensive against her, willing to take on the stranger unarmed. He had spirit, fight. He was lost. He wouldn’t be missed. Oh yes.
So she had taken him in, lured him with the glorious and horror of the court. He was happy to be lost in int. To be given a different chance. But she was not one of importance. Barely a knight. Soon the queen took notice that the new human pet had been with them for quite some time. He clung to her beautiful assassin too easily.
He had become the focus of Nicenevin’s most sadistic entertainments.
It had been her catalyst. Between her toying sessions she whispered to him the most sacred of secrets to him. Using her name she was able to break her ranks and free him. Even though she had dragged him into this new hell he refused to abandon her. Here is where they were, Ironside of all places, trying to dodge her majesty’s agents and network.
Luckily, Nicnevin would soon be preoccupied. There was the seven year coming up and a child about. It would give them a short respite. But they were intelligent. Such a time was all either of them required.

Wow, no, a straight-up crossover hadn't occurred to me, but it works. I like it :D The harshness of the courts and Natasha giving Clint her true name, giving up that level of control to him, trusting him that much... And Clint trusting her even after she's been forced to torture him... And the two of them going on the run... Oh yeah, I like it!
