*wipes meta stains off shirt*

I'm glad you think this is hot! You know it's the most explicit thing I've written? :P

And they barely made it through the door. The neighbours were lucky they didn't get a free show in the hall (or would that be unlucky?).

(and yes, I'm still tempted to write a 5+1 of their reunions in this verse b/c of that image alone.)

*says nothing* *sends enabling vibes*

They never sy the words (like not ever, not in my head, they just don't do that) but their confessions of love are always around--they crop up in every one of their little rituals: the storytelling, a kiss on her the wrist, tracing his scars, worshipping her body, give and take, push and pull.

This! They declare their love through actions but never words, and they get the message anyway because they've never needed words to communicate.

I see this as something she does for him fairly regularly, to bring him back down to earth after facing the darkness. I imagine he has a ritual for her as well, but I can't think what that is right now. Thoughts?

Also the duality. THE METAPHORS. I do love me a good metaphor, and this tale is perfect. It's dark and complex and wonderfully ambiguous (remind you of anyone?), and there is a prince who wants to SAVE HER and a demon king who TAKES WHAT HE WANTS and in the end she CHOOSES BOTH OF THEM.

Dude, you need to read Deathless. You will die of squee.

I'm so glad you liked it, and thanks for letting me play in your universe! It's a highly addictive sandpit.

Is it really the most explicit? Moreso than last one?

And yes, definitely hot. And I will take hot by implication every damn day of the week. Don't tell me everything; don't even come close. Just imply enough to plant a couple of lovely ideas in my head and we're good. Srsly. That's the secret. (at least to me)

I imagine he has a ritual for her as well, but I can't think what that is right now. Thoughts?

**ponders**

Hmmm.... with him it wouldn't be about words.

I think it's all about water. He literally washes the dirt and dust and blood of the mission off of her. Sometimes it gets all hot 'n heavy, sometimes it's more worshipful or platonic, but he literally washes the past away. Brings her back to herself. The water is scalding hot, there's maybe one candle in the room (sometimes it's almost completely dark), and he knows, he just knows when they're done by the way her breathing changes-- the way she starts to come back to herself. The spell is lifted and the princess wakes back up. (plus I have all these images of him washing her long red hair b/c clearly i need to add hair!issues to my long list of cronenburg!issues.)

I dunno, that was me shooting from the hip. Thoughts?

Re: Deathless, I'd already decided that I need this in my life. Shall rectify tomorrow. :)

The other one was probably more explicit, now that I come to think of it. I guess by explicit I actually meant 'sexiest.'

OMG, yes to everything. I can see that so clearly. Especially him washing the blood out of her hair. (I thought hair!issues was already a thing in this fandom? :P)

Haven't you seen the large amount of fic centering on why she cut her hair?

Ohhhhh. I have; haven't read a whole lot of it. Is it kink-dark-and-twisty hair issues?

Some of it. It varies in quality, as is the way of fanfic.

I love love love the idea of that - in the story I'm working on (which is closer to movie-verse stable-r assassins than Cronenburg Assassins) they end up using sex as a way to ground her back down into being the Natasha she's turned herself into rather than whoever she was pretending to be or whoever someone else has manipulated/brainwashed her into being. And it's intercourse between the two of them, specifically because he initially refused to have sex with her unless she dropped all her masks which freaked her the fuck out, but she eventually managed it. Which turned it into a touchstone for her - he kind of becomes a living embodiment of counter-triggers for her after awhile. So... what things could this Clint do that she wouldn't have any other associations with to bring her back?

(And now I'm wondering if I could incorporate it into that "music as trigger" prompt floating around without going into some serious dub-con territory. Hmm...)

*brain explosion*

Yes. To everything ever. I would love to read this fic.

Movie!Clint or Cronenburg!Clint? Cronenburg!Clint I'd say ropes, or something else to do with her wrists. Movie!Clint... Strangely, I see him as being very, very gentle with her. Takes his time, focuses almost entirely on her pleasure. And he calls her Tasha, which no one else is allowed to do.

::blushes:: Thanks.

I've started working on it actually. Except Steve showed up, too. I have no idea why Steve showed up. (IDEK. But it just might break him. Or just fail spectacularly. We'll see.)

Cronenburg!Clint I'd say ropes, or something else to do with her wrists.

Sweet Zombie Crickets I would give a frak-ton of anything to read that. ::swoons::

Everything that Bee said *grins*. Sorry, I've just read all of small acts in one go and I think I've lost my ability to anything lol. But. I love the storytelling, a fitting end as an epilogue with that 'here is a story, here has been a story' vibe and also that it's fairy tale in tone and style, because fairy tales are at their origins dark and often prettied up and toned down for children, so you could say that Clint and Natasha in this verse have been that dark fariy tale, but prettied up to outsiders or not seen as they truely are by outsiders, perhaps just seen, as Coulson says, 'in love' when love is for children, a childish version of the story. And then this is twisty fairy tale, twisted from the classic. I mean, a thin fairy tales generally have in common is that there's a good girl who gets told don't talk to strangers, don't stray from the path, don't touch the spindle, don't. And then if they do, if they're bad, then bad things happen. And there's a Prince and love and a rescue. Here the emphasis is not on any bad thing that the girl has done and there's no rescuing and no one love and things are complicated. The bad thing she has done is not to be claimed and claims herself? Yeah, not awake and articulate enough any more, but fairy tales!

I haven't read Deathless. This is a thing now added to my to read list :)

Then we have the ritual of a story, and a style of story that is in and of itself ritualistic, in a series that has been about rituals, religious, worshipping, devotion, trust, BDSM, rituals. And at the end She lets him kiss her as she lifts her wrists above her head She LET'S him, such a big thing for me in all of this, that it's also been about Natasha agreeing, giving, consenting. And almost coming full circle here Clint does not need to tie her down to make her stop, to end the 'advance and retreat', but she volunteers to stop, maybe not even to be tied, but to be in that position. Once he caught her and tied her down. Once she offered him a rope for him to tie her down in a different way. Now she offers him her wrists, her bare wrists.

Also, y'know, fantastic writing :D <3

My gosh, I need sleep. Then at some point I need to put all my thoughts together and pass them to Bee and Bob. Poor souls, heh.
