Title: The Cities On Their List Fandom: Avengers... sort of Word Count: 1486 Rating: PG Summary: This all started with the six-word story by flying_android: NY calls Budapest. "Have them back." over at the be_compromised promptathon. Days of conversation later and here is my story of their meeting.
There were twelve different types of pie and seventeen different pitchers of lemonade arranged artfully on the refreshment table. Everyone always liked it when Atlanta was in charge of the food. In fact, there had been a motion passed awhile back that Atlanta was always in charge of food. All it took was Florence proclaiming that her recipe for Cibreo was the finest around, seeing how she liked to add the chicken gonads at the very last moment, for the declaration to be passed unanimously.
London was refusing all nourishment during this meeting, the stress of the Olympics finally getting to him. Poor man. He’d had the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics to contend with back to back and now he was sitting in the corner, staring into space. Even Edinburgh couldn’t get him to change his mind and have some of the mincemeat pie.
New York climbed wearily up the stairs to stand behind the podium with Nagasaki hovering nearby in case the poor dear couldn’t make it through the whole meeting. Most of his bruises were turning yellow and green so that he looked like he was molding. He’d only just been allowed out of the hospital a few days ago, his streets and buildings still a bit shaken up.
