Filksinging

I had talked briefly about filksinging at our first ever Nashville Doctor Who fans meet up. Filksinging is making up a song about your favorite Doctor Who or whatever other thing you are into and using existing tunes to sing it to. I had several I did back in the 80's so I thought I'd put them here. Some day I'm going to make a video of them...me singing them and using pics to illustrate it. The first one is titled "Explain it once again" I have adapted it to the present era Doctor Who. When I wrote this was when I was a member of Terminus TARDIS and our leader was called a Chancellor

Explain It Once Again...by me sung to the tune of Let the Sunshine In (not Age of Aquarius version but the Sunday School song)

Our Chancellor always tells us that a good Who Fan should know,
All about The Doctor and all the places and times he goes,
He says there are 11 of him but yet he is just one,
He is fought with many evils
and his work is never done

Explain it once again,
The Doctor is 11 men.
He travels in a time machine,
and he's an a-li-en.
Explain it once again
I'll try to understand
I'll try to get it right if you
Explain it once again!

The second filk is called "You Are My TARDIS"

You Are My TARDIS...by me...sung to the tune of You Are My Sunshine

You are my TARDIS,
My only TARDIS
You never work right,
Though I beg you to.
Your chameleon factor
Is really crackers
So I'm stuck with this box of blue.

Just wanted to put these somewhere permanent. If I make a video I'll be sure to post a link here.
