so, been thinking about today and what it means beyond a day off.
MLK was an amazing person, willing to fight without fighting, enduring tremendous hardship to do what was right.
One of the stories I heard on the radio talked about that while he was an extraordinary person, he suffered as well, that it was tough to resist the urge to fight in more traditional manners. The point being that he was an amazing person who was also an ordinary person, and that the converse was also true, in every ordinary person there is the potential for the extraordinary.
The only difference between him, and I, or you, is the choice to do something extraordinary.
I need to keep that in mind.
