Why is being able to draw so damned important to me all of a sudden? I'm actually getting really, really frustrated with what I'm producing, to the point where I'm having to work off steam before bed.

Fff.

Going to put sketches up here, in case people have pointers about proportions and things. They'll always be under a cut!

Your bodies aren't proportionately tall enough for your heads is the first thing that I notice. I've always learned that typical proportions are 7~8 heads high, depending? So I will word vomit the things I can remember about proportions.

They look great :) only thing is I think their legs are too short, they look a bit stumpy. The very first one looks better, but the third sketch (on the first picture) looks like you cut him off at the knees :)

You've got some good pointers from people up there. The only thing I'd add is to study bodies from the absolute basics. I notice you tend to sausage-circle the basic pose and then draw on clothing and such around that, but it's actually difficult to draw fabric draping over a form if you don't know what that form actually looks like.

Draw and study skeletons, bones, etc.. Then draw and study muscles, how they attach to bones, how they flex and pull and shift to move the body. This goes especially for faces, because it helps you gain an understanding of how the muscles in a face bunch/stretch to form facial expressions.

Overall, you're not off to a bad start.
