So I definitely have been ignoring my LJ for a while now. I wanted to post more in here as Xanga just gets annoying after a while. Most of Lee uses Xanga to read everyone's life and well.. that can only go so far until you start to piss people off, then it becomes one giant drama case... and you thought church was bad? I go to a christian-university... lol
For the record, classes and such have been great--perfect even. Just things outside of it have sucked. My new car.. tboned, then some personal stuff happened the week after. A lot of things have been on my mind, and I let my mind take things too far. Eh, sometimes we learn by examples. I am doing rather well these days.
Living off campus is nice. I don't have to deal with the lives of everyone else in the dorm, I don't really have noisy neighbors, and I can come and go as I please. I have people over as late as whenever. Have PJ parties, what have you. I'm more of a home-body so I am not on campus unless I need to be.
Since changing my major, I have been asked to do more things. Funny how that worked out. But this semester I am working on Mendelssohn Trio No. 1 in d minor.. it's just amazing!!! Enough said. Today in chamber orchestra we finally got the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 1 in and rehearsed it. Of course when I saw the sheet on the door that said we are playing it... I was jumping up and down. People were asking what is wrong with me?! Well, the violinists have a time ahead of them. The cellists have a few spots but not NEAR as much as I thought we would. That's a good thing though! We made it through the first 3 movements! We didn't get to the last, but I already know it is prolly gonna give us the most trouble. Dang thing is so fast, but I love it! In bigger ensemble we were asked to play at a VIP party for the president of the school. Hopefully I get my new tux by then... if not, I may have to go home and grab my old one and just wear it with some black pants that fit me! The new tux, I get tails!
