The Postal Service

It's strange. The Postal Service is definitely a sad bad, lyrically. Even a cursory examination of the lyrics would tell you that. The name of the album is Give Up. It's definitely not happy.

This is strange because listening to the music does not make me sad. It makes me happier, really. Not because I'm doing better by comparison, or because the beats are generally upbeat, but because the lyrics are so beautiful. I just can't find sadness in something someone created that is so wonderfully amazing.
If I cried from listening to it, it would not be from sadness. It would be from wonder and awe.

I want to write lyrics like that so badly. I must practice.

Getting a new guitar. Got an excellent deal on ebay. Ibanez RG 320 and hard case for 232 (including shipping), for anyone who cares. I'll get a link to pictures up tomorrow maybe. But we all know how much of a LJ flake I am.

My depression is at an all time low, which pleases me. I'm not happy, but I'm not terribly sad either. I'm just neutral. And it's not the blank, I don't feel, bad kind of neutral. It's just neutral. I still have some underlying psychological issues that need to be resolved, but they're not depression related, so that's good.

I work 39 hours in 5 days next week. whoo.
