Road trip

Note to self: for future reference, 16 hours in a car is never to be referred to as "no sweat" again.

Drove to Georgia (from northern IL) to visit my aunt. Driving 16 hours with a passenger who can't really drive a stick shift = not fun. But at least she could sing, so I wasn't listening to bad off-key renderings of whatever was on the radio (that's how I sing).

Am having much fun and don't really want to go back on sunday. Moreover, really don't want to drive back. Ever. It might be easier just to move to georgia and have my stuff shipped over. I could find a job in Georgia. It's nice here, very pretty, and I got to drive over a mountain to get here! Might not seem like a big deal, but there's nothing that really even resembles a mountain in the part of Illinois I'm from. Or, for that matter, hills.

Spent half the day tuesday playing Dance Dance Revolution at the Funsville Arcade, which I'd never played before. If I'd known how much fun it was, I probably wouldn't have avoided the machines before now. So I picked up the XBox version and the pad that goes with it. Get some practice and maybe I won't suck so much.

Went to the bookstore and got the abridgement of "The Princess Bride", the one they made the movie out of, and the hair stuff store, where I decided it would be a good idea to put blue streaks in my hair. (yes, really. Pictures eventually). Then, drank more than I should have. Aunt's boyfriend still sleeping it off, hehe.
