(no subject)
Um... ok so an update (that no one will read). I haven't really been up to much lately. Not doing school, not doing anything really. I've played World of Warcraft a tad. I've slept and watched anime. Haven't studied for exams. So basically it has been boring but nice and relaxing. I went to the movies with Josh on Friday and saw Ocean's Twelve. Good movie, although Josh kept falling asleep towards the middle/end. Work'll do that to ya. Not that I'd know. hehe Anyways, I went to my shrink on Friday as well and he apparently talked to the general manager of the St. Pete Times about me, saying I would be interested in an internship. Which I would! Not only would I have a paying job, it would kick arse in my opinion. Anyways, the one down-side to that is that he told her I was a senior, because that's what he thought I was. So I don't know if that's going to be a problem, but I'm going to check that out. Also, I've been having a lot of fun with my writings for English. It's been so long since I've written that I miss it so dearly and I never feel like I have enough time to do it, when really I just don't ever get around to it. Anyways, one thing I had fun with was experimenting with tone in third person speaking of someone else's thoughts. Hard to do, don't know if it really worked. But it was f-u-n. Anyways, I turned that in and I'm wondering what my teacher is going to think. I used a lot of bad sentence structure, such as fragments and whatnot since it was describing a guy's thoughts. But I also used a lot of references to the bible to make my story work... basically inventing a new story behind the 1st vampire. Yes, well I had fun with that, another short story, not so much with poems but oh well. And that's about it. I've been reading Dracula as well as trying to finish the Wheel of Time series... which has taken me freaking FOREVER. Um... and I guess that's it. I was asked who I liked on Friday at school, and to my surprise I couldn't think of anyone that I liked and would be interested in. So yes... nothing going on in that department really. Nothing going on with school other than exams... big whoop. And nothing really going on socially or otherwise worth mentioning. It's nice though not having anything to do. I hung out with Josh and Sean and they don't make me nervous at all, so I've had a pretty relaxing time as of late. And now I'm going to go read or watch a movie or something till the wee hours of the morning, when I get up and go to school and read again instead of listening to the teachers. I honestly cannot wait until I am out of high school. I've never been one to take part in what makes no sense to me, and that includes busy work, which is all that high school is. Therefore, I am fed up with it and am ready to be out. I was ready to be out of high school my freshman year, and now I'm just positively itching to get away. I really wish I could graduate early and get the hell out of there and go to USF for their really good writing program and work at the St. Pete Times in the meantime. *sigh* Too bad that's so far into the future and probably not as glamorous as it appears now. Oh well... I'm done updating. If anyone wants to give me a subject to write about, I'm looking for a project to work on with writing. Need ideas... and if I like the idea I might write about it.
