OU weekend + FIRE!!!!!1111
Went to Dallas this weekend for my last Red River Shootout weekend as a student, so it's a good thing we won. I'll spare details of the game since you can read them elsewhere, but we went to the State Fair afterwards and spent too much money on turkey legs, fried oreos, rides, and winning various stuffed animals. For anyone that has never had a fried oreo, I can't begin to describe their goodness. The actual oreo inside melts, so then you have a battered ball of chocolate topped with powdered sugar that melts in your mouth. Each one is probably a heart attack waiting to happen, but at least you'd die happy. Pics:

So today after class, me and Alena were walking back to her place, and we stopped at a crosswalk to wait for the light to change. Suddenly it started smelling funny, and we both looked around, confused, until we turned around and realized that the building 10 feet behind us had just caught on fire. There was so much smoke it was like breathing in dust at Austin City Limits all over again, so we ran to her apartment, which was only slightly dangerous since the smoke was obscuring the lights and drivers wouldn't have been able to see us anyway. From her balcony we took more pictures:
In the second picture you can actually see the fire. We're not sure what caused it, but the power lines behind the building were sparking and going crazy so we assume it was an electrical fire. Hopefully none of you had any clothes there, cause, well...you don't have them anymore. Luckily the fire department was literally 2 buildings down, so instead of calling 911, some dude just ran down the street and knocked.
