If after the fact you're happy with it, that's great. For me, lookign back, it's not on my regret list. I wish I had focused more on myself, maybe had nicer clothes or got my hair done. Even though those are superifical things that you can't keep forever, it would have boosted my self esteem at the time.

Me too. I had no money when I was pregnant (what I made working went to bills and baby stuff), and the handful of maternity outfits I had were designed for middle aged frumpy moms. I look pretty fugly in most of the snapshots taken when I was pregnant, and it makes me sad. I get jealous sometimes when I see pregnant women now, because maternity clothes are so much cuter now.
Ohgodno. That's just . . . frightening. I have better memories from making it than from actually having it, to be honest, so I totally see why you would choose nicer clothes and pampering over a belly cast.
