Meeting the Family Again
I came to visit my family last night and have been staying at my mom's house. This is the first time I have been home in forever and also the first time that they have seen me since I transitioned.
It is so strange for me to be back here with them. It really feels like I am meeting everyone all over for the first time again. But I guess it really feels that way whenever you see someone you used to know after you have transitioned. Things are always different and it always feels like I am meeting someone new. I dont know if it is like that for anyone else.
But life is good, mom is a lot more accepting now than she ever has been before. I think that it really helped her to actually see me and spend time with me and it was definately worth the long drive to get here.
