Yay Hershey

Friday was the drive down, with Rob and Matt... Rob is hysterical and together with Matt... I couldn't stop laughing. It was great. Add to that Rob's 80's cartoon-tastic soundtrack, yeah, lots of fun and it made the drive seem shorter.

So, no offense to any Pennsylvania residents - but holy crap that state is one creepy place. Or at least the area we were in. Nothing like having Jesus thrust down your throat wherever you go, via pamphlet, or books in a diner, or....

having the bible right on the dresser of your hotel room. Rob got slightly lost because we couldn't see the road signs that well (that and one was literally ripped of the post) and were driving by endless cornfields... gah creepy! And on the non-creepy, at Duke's (the most awesome resteraunt a few feet from the hotel) they did not have subs, they had... hoagies. Not creepy, but weird.

Hotel was a little bare (dude, wtf no shampoo?) and everything was bolted down ....

(except the Bible, go fig). But I got a decent night's sleep both nights so I can't complain :)

Rob and his phone and the... tv.

Don't forget to hit the "snooz" button. Too bad you have to get out of bed to hit it... yep, that's bolted down too.

So, the park was fun. I felt bad being anti-social and splitting from the group but I do not go on certain rides:

Anything that goes upsidedown, goes too high that's not enclosed, anything where my feet are dangling, or anything else where I feel I might puke/pass out/pee my pants. Call me a wuss, call me a pussy, I don't care, being scared shitless is not one of my fav pastimes.

And so, I didn't want to sit around while everyone went on a ride (which I did for the first ride, which sucked because I was by myself and roasting in the sun) and be "bag bitch" :P So Matt and I went our own way. We went to the Worse-than-Van-Saun-Park-Zoo

(though the sad porcupine was awfully cute)

and saw the sea lion show (SO CUTE! I want a sea lion and I shall name him Simba) and went on some non-puke inducing rides :P

Like ze Kissing Tower!

Taken from ze Kissing Tower

lollercoaster... or should I say lollerbumper..cars...

Me and my kiss plush. Yay!

The GIANT pinball machine in one of the arcades.

Seriously, this thing was huge.

This would have been cute if I didn't stick my tongue out :(

Giant ferris wheel.

Rob!

Commie! Meghan!

Kurt! Sophia!

Chocolate World was cool too...

OMG Cows!

Singing of their love of chocolate. And milk. But mainly chocolate.

I was highly disappointed by the lack of Strawberry Cream and Orange flavored Hershey kisses. Though I did make off with Carmel Crunch Kisses, Strawberry Whoppers, Elvis Limited Edition Mini Peanut Butter Cups (with banana cream... omg), and some stuff for my coworkers (I'm so nice :P) but most of it melted on the way home, hence emergency recovery in the freezer. Most of them have seemed to make a full recovery, though they are a little... bendy.

The Onion Ring stack of awesome at Red Robin. Commie approved. (Note to self - find a Red Robin in Jersey. It's not the crap fast food dump we all thought it all was from the commercials. It's actually really good.)

Some of the melted goodness I brought home. And yes that is Jolly Rancher Apple soda and yes IT IS AMAZING.

"Chocolate senses... tingling!"

"Plz don't eat me, I'm full of caloriez!"

So, yeah, very awesome trip. Thank you Meghan for all your hard work planning! You rock!
