RAT USDAA weekend...awesome girls
First off, the girls were simply awesome this weekend!
Every start line, every contact they nailed. Each of them had one they wanted to fudge on but with a verbal correction they corrected it and it held. What a difference for my mental game Yippee Skippy.
Now to continue our efforts, be strong don’t let that excitement of both of us wanting to run get the better of me.
Contacts were awesome too; Gem pushed the first two on Master Std course. But nailed her teeter and held it sold “waiting” very patiently for her release. Kitt did awesome as well regardless of slidding off the table.
The girls both ran better than ever…am I sure I want a boy?...hum
I can tell Kitt has moved along in the aging process again (nearing 9 now) and is not as young as I would like my sweet girl to be. She was a little hitchy in her stride this weekend. Kelly worked on her Sunday before the last Jumpers run and said she was quite warm/stiff on her left side front and rear but released well as she typically does. She did look better after that. Janet is working on them both on Wednesday so that will help as well.

Saturday:
Both girls got Masters Gamblers, MPairs & MJumpers ques.
They also made it in to R2 of Steeple Chase.
Sunday:
Both girls got Master Jumpers ques again (it just makes me all tingly when they both que in a Jumpers class)
Kitt had a beautiful run in Grand Prix Q3, MStandard Q1, MSnooker, Kitt’s R2 was lovely apparently she skipped a pole on the 2nd pass thru the weaves I still can’t see it on the video. The judge and I blocked a good section of the video. If she would have finished all 12 poles she would have exited on the offside. So it was somewhere in the middle, beginning.
Gem Run super well too, Q6th place for a mega $16 dollarsin R2 of Steeple Chase. Seems like a lot for that placement, nice. She pulled off a jump after the broad jump, kinda weird for her but I had been letting her know in other runs whe was not paying enough attention. So here may be where it showed up in her over working what I was asking her to do. I did check out for a moment and was working two obstacles ahead mentally. May of had something to do with it.
But just awesome work by the “BCgirls” soon to be “BCkids”…I’m getting excited...5 days and counting!
