Be Responsible
Katie DeCubellis was a 13-year-old girl who was killed by a drunk driver on October 29, 1999. I've driven past that spot on the highway hundreds of times. Her parents, who belong to my church, gave a presentation tonight. Her parents are brave people, who instead of becoming victims, have turned a tragedy around and decided to do something, to tell their story. There's something about sharing stories, particularly difficult ones, that makes us all connected to one another. There was a lot of collective crying, but there was also a lot of positive energy.
