Today I received a critique of WANTED: CHOSEN ONE, NOW HIRING from Elizabeth Poole. Elizabeth is an aspiring writer, like myself, and has an incredible understanding of the technical side of the craft. This is the kind of person you want in your writer's group. She sent me an incredibly long list of things that need fixing, and while my pride should be stung that I wasn't perfect on my first go through, it's not. I'm awesome, but I'm not that awesome. ;) Revision is a necessary step in the writing process and a good critique makes that step a successful one. So here I am with Elizabeth's comments. This is a good critique. It is very good.

I am only more excited about writing because when I'm done with this draft, the story will blow your flipping mind.
