Season3: Episode 2: The Shakespeare Code Rewatch

The Shakespeare Code
+I love the humor and wit in this episode. I’m a huge Shakespeare fan so I thought it was one of their stronger Historical episodes.

+The actor who plays Shakespeare is great. I love how, while the Doctor got to invent the “Banana Daiquiri” a few centuries early in "Girl in the Fireplace", Martha got to leave her mark by shouting “Author”.

+ Plus using some Harry Potter references to save the day is awesome. The thing I sort of like is that she catches the eye of Shakespeare.

+It seems Martha can catch nearly everyone’s eye in this season except for the one that she desires the most.

-Cons-
-Although I’m glad that the BBC and the writers even acknowledged the danger of sending a Black girl in time (which they then got very lax about), I didn’t like how the Doctor dismissed her concerns. In fact, I just didn’t buy his reaction and response to this very REAL concern, and therefore, didn’t much believe that a 900- year old Timelord would be so astonished and dismissive of the fact that his companion would ask about her safety. (See Rant about that)

Other than that, very fun episode :D
