So the Pope is close to death. I dont know why, but it kind of makes me sad. I dont believe in the idea of a god or anything like that, but the Pope seemed to be a good man overall. A lot of the things he preached, I didn't agree with, but he did some good things too.
The media coverage is pissing me off though. I watched CNN for a little while and all of a sudden the anchor said that the Pope was dead. The reporter in the field was like "Woah. The Vatican hasn't said anything so we shouldn't jump the gun. There is no need to be the first to report this." The anchor was like, "Yeah, you're right. But Italian news agencies are saying that he is dead." Next thing I know they have "Pope Reported Dead" at the bottom of the screen. I flipped to Fox News and they had the same shit. The Vatican said that the Pope wasn't dead, and CNN took off their "Pope Dead" thing, but Fox still had it up. WHO FUCKING CARES IF YOU ARE THE FIRST PEOPLE TO SAY THAT THE FUCKING POPE IS DEAD?
Then I was watching them talk about his life. I forgot which news station said this, but one of them said that the Pope was like an American. What the fuck does that mean?
Then they started to compare him to Reagan. Jesus fucking Christ. Yeah, Reagan is the fucking poster child for the idea of human rights and shit in the world. We'll talk to the people of Latin America about that.
