So I was breakin' at home one night to the sick beats of Tribe Called Quest. I got a bit tired so I sat down in front of the computer and checked out bboyworld.com. Watched a whole bunch of clips and realized "shit, I've been bboyin' for 3-4 years now. This is the only thing I haven't quit, if anything this is the only thing I give my all." Really sad to say but its true. I was 12 when I got into bboyin' and learned my famous move, "top rock".
What else can I say? I love it. It's an element of hip hop,it shows the way I live, it shows what kind of person I am. Everytime I step in the circle bboys would say something like "oh shit this kid has got confidence", "this kid isn't afraid to face any kat out there", "this kid is fuckin dope". But sometimes the shit these kats say are whack. "This kid is shit yo..hes a fucking biter", "this kid is mad whack I'll smoke him anyday". I've noticed in the Toronto scene there has been some beef here and there and it always ends up in some huge fight that ruins everyones night. Some bboy's in the toronto scene talk a lot(not mentioning any names), I'll admit I do too, but not at the point where there has to be a fight in EVERY breaking jam. I'm not saying anything bad about the Toronto scene, all I'm saying is there shouldn't be any beef out there in the scene, it takes away a lot from you: your respect or your image.
ahh what the hell..i don't even know what I'm saying anymore..hahah..its just what i think..
I gotta show some respect for the following crews, without them I wouldn't be a bboy today/
-Natural Flow Crew (Scarborough)
-Supernaturalz Crew (Toronto)
-Funk Fanatics (Toronto)
