Love how Ennis and Jack have their talks on a bed, and I love how Ennis hugged Jack before talking. That’s so sweet. I adore how these boys are so close and comfortable with each other. And I especially like how Ennis is pretty cool about gay stuff, open minded, accepting people just like the way there are. That’s a unique, fresh and different Ennis, and I love him.
Oh my, the scene between them in the bed was very erotic, and at the same time so sweet. **sigh**
I agree with Ennis here:

"God, Jack!" he heard in a gravelly, sleep-roughened voice. "You have no idea how sexy that is! You taking your pleasure like that. Using my dick to make yourself feel good!"

WOW, Ennis saying that with his deep voice was hot!! **thud**
But I love the most how tender Ennis was after that, explaining to his best friend that his friendship was more important than sex, and that he didn’t want to loose him. That was gorgeous:

"But Jack.. You have such a tender heart, " Ennis laid his forehead against Jack's back. "And you have been my best friend all my life!" Jack heard Ennis take a deep breath before continuing. "I need that, Jack. I'm not gonna fuck it up just for a quick thrill!"
Sighing deeply, Jack turned over and hugged him. He understood what Ennis was saying. He didn't want to hurt him.

Well, it's not that I wouldn't want it. But I want our friendship more." Ennis said and hugged him again.
"Yeah. I wouldn't want to lose our friendship, either. It means too much to me!" Jack agreed.

Amazing chapter. I can’t wait for more. I’m glad Jack told Ennis that he thinks that he’s gay, but I wonder if Ennis really “got” what that could mean because he reacted without any emotion. Though….he didn’t sleep for a long time, right? Mmmm……

Yes, Ennis's basic philosophy is "if it makes you feel good, go for it!" as long as nobody gets hurt. And he doesn't want to hurt Jack.
I think he wanted to make sure Jack knew it was okay that he was gay. And probably he'd figured out that that's where the discussion was heading, so was somewhat braced.
So he responded quickly, but then took some time to think about it.
