Baby Shower fun
I had a really fun day yesterday. I went up to Indiana first - to see Rebecca and have brunch with her at the dining hall to use up my leftover flex money. It was kind of crappy that morning, but what college food isn't? Then we went on an expedition to find this one color of yarn - Windsor Blue - that has been alluding me in Altoona. After three stops at craft stores, guess where we finally found it? WalMart.
After all that, I drove the 15 minutes to Blairsville for the other reason for my trip - Jess' baby shower! Yay! The only bad thing is that I wound up getting lost and going to the wrong place and got there late. But I got there, that's what matters. It was a really nice country club, we were in the Fountain Room by the bar - fancy stuff! We even got a three course meal - fresh salad, breaded chicken with lemon sauce, roasted potatoes, steamed veggies - and a DELICIOUS three layer chocolate mousse cake.
We played baby games, too. I almost won the word scramble, I was ONE word behind - I just couldn't figure it out. It turned out to be 'feedings'.
But it was a super fun time.
