This is a half assed celebration post
Why?
Because I turned in, what I'm sure isn't best stuff, rough draft of all my written materials associated with my Master's Project. Now I have to record the actual podcasts. Tonight though I'm taking the night off and relaxing, my eyes hurt from staring at my bibliography most of last night, and this morning.
While this is nice, I can't help but feel down about the recent teen suicides amongst gay youth here in the United States. Its been, ok its been awhile (I AM NOT ANCIENT NOR YET 30) since I've been in high school. When I was in high school, I couldn't have imagined any body being out and proud. Even though I went to a large public school, the cliques were horrible and awful. There wasn't a Gay/Lesbian/Trans/Bi-Straight Alliance. If you were LGBT you kept it amongst your closest friends. I would've thought that perhaps that high schools had moved on. That in a school in a liberal area, or in a larger city, you would be relatively safe in coming out, but apparently not. I'm appalled. This, just after the failure to repeal of DADT, now this. Not cool, not cool. Ok I've said my piece about that-had to get that out.
Moving on
Going to a Rapids game tomorrow. yeah!! They are actually pretty good this year, in the wild card race, just under the L.A Galaxy
Captain Cesctastic is apparently not fit for Sunday's London Derby
why don't we just give up now??? Although Chelsea did lose to Manchester City (ha ha ah ah ha) IDK, I donut disco City in the top three..boooo!
