YARG!

Dear School,

Why, why, WHY are all the digital art programs only on the Mac network?!?  Especially when 3/5 of the labs with Macs on campus ALWAYS have a class in  them, and the other 2 only have like, 5 stations?  Which are usually full of people who couldn't wait for a PC to open up.

Dear Jerkperson,

Maybe you don't know about the "all art programs are only on Macs" thing here.  I didn't until I took an art class that needed them.  And maybe you didn't notice the GIANT BRIGHT ORANGE MTSS* crate I'm toting, which would probably indicate my need to work on an art program.  Either way, rushing past me to get on the LAST MAC in the lab wasn't very gentleman-ly.

Dear Niceperson,

You were only printing slides, and you moved to a PC when you noticed I was only waiting in the Mac area (and giving Jerkperson dagger stares).  Thank you!  But,

Girl Next to Me,

Why are you playing Flash games and chatting on AIM in the library comp lab?  And on a Mac, though you might not know of their rarity.  I can understand if maybe, you don't have a personal comp and can only chat/play on publc comps, but there is indeed a sign (a bunch infact) that state that PLAYNG GAMES IN THE LAB WHEN ITS FULL IS NOT COOL!  There is a LINE waiting for comps, maybe they need to print/send important school-related documents and have limited time.  Please to be learning the appropriate time to play and chat.**

Sincerly,
Stressed-About-Art-Crit-And-Frustrated-At-Everyone

*=Media Tech Something Something.  If you need to borrow equipment (laptops, harddrives, projectors, cameras, etc), you go to these guys.  Everything you get is in a big, padded plastic case with MTSS written in marker all over it.  And they're usually construction-cone orange, but I've gotten some gray ones.

**I'm aware that blogging is probably also not cool, but I wrote the bulk of this while waiting for After Effects to write my video project.  It took awhile.
