this doesn't need to be the end

so, now i'm in florida. 6 days left, including today, and i can't wait to go back home. i mean, yeah. florida's great & warm & stuff, but as i mentioned to marissa, i'd rather be pale, hanging out with friends at home than tan and hanging out with my little sister. why on earth did i make these plane tickets so late? plus, i'm already stressing out about the three days of school i'm going to be missing. eeek. there go my "sick days" for the rest of the year.

but it was good to come down and look at colleges. let's do a recap so i can determine what i'm doing with my life:

My #1: Emory (Atlanta, GA): Absolutely gorgeous campus, it's not really IN Atlanta so not an overwhelming urban campus. All of the buildings looked like they were built in the last 10 years and they had an amazing three story student recreation building. It has a nursing school (which I might be interested in) & a computer science program if I decide to go with that. BUT it's around $40,000 a year with housing & all. Luckily it seems like they aren't too bad about financial aid, but still, I might have to prostitute my body.

#2: UNC Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC): Nice campus, not Emory, but nice. Right near campus there's a street full of little bagel shops & places like that. Perfect. Lots of school spirit, so I'd get to go scream and yell at basketball games. Nursing: check. C.S.: check. It's a bigger school, so maybe a little scarier, & tough for me to get into because 82% of students must come from NC (by law). Great. But, It's less expensive, around $27,000 a year.

#3: Duke(Durham, NC): Amazing campus. More spread out than Emory. I could see some great basketball games and perhaps marry a basketball player before he enters the NBA? Sheldon Williams is my type. But anyway, it's very difficult to get into and costs about $40,000 a year with only an average financial aid program. It has all of the majors I'm interested in and is beautiful.

BC, eh..not so much. I think it doesn't really make the list. So, that leaves me with three schools that are rather difficult to get into and cost a lot of money. Excellent, I'll end up at SMCC, just wait.
