The con
The con was *awesome* yesterday! The car ride over was interesting, to say the least, as we were in the car with six other fangirls... two of them in costume. (Me and one other person are going to wear our costumes today.) Parking took forever, but we saw a lot of people in cosplay, looking really awesome. (There was a *perfect* Hellboy. :D) We cheered and clapped for some, and they heard us from outside the car. We got quite a few odd looks. ^_^;
Then there was the line. Since me and two other girls weren't pre-registered, we had to wait in line.. outside for 40 mins, inside for 15/20. Not as bad as we were expecting, but I still wish we didn't have to. I got a little sunburn, but it won't be noticeable today in my costume.
Once we were inside, we walked around for a bit, just looking at people. There was a Jesus (not quite sure why) and he had a big wooden cross with him.. the guy behind us in line, I had no idea who he was, but his friend caught me staring at his costume and said to him "hey, that chick's digging your costume." >.< I was a tad embarrassed, but hey. I guess that's the point of them- to give/get attention. *shrug*
There were a LOT of Ls from Death Note- only one of them was perfect, though- he was lying on the floor in the hallway, barefoot, biting his thumb, surrounded by candy. It looked *so cool.*
There were two Ryuks from Death Note- both looked *awesome.* I saw people cosplaying from Katamari, my fav video game ever, so that was great.. A few Pokemon people.. lots of people from Kingdom Hearts.. I saw three Marios, two Luigis, some Spidermans.. it was just totally awesome.
The art room and the dealers' room were so amazing. I liked the art room a tad better, because you weren't pressured to buy anything. I didn'y get anything yesterday, and I was kinda sad. I might plan on buying a button or two today. I didn't see any YuYu stuff, or at least anything that I didn't already have, or didn't want to buy.
Didn't see and cosplayers for it either, until we were leaving. I was all disappointed, then as we're walking back to the car, somebody passes me, in perfect school uniform outfit for Yusuke. I have a little fangirl moment, and the guy looks at me- he knew I knew who he was- and he smiled, then left. So that kind of made my day. ^_^
We're going back for a second round today, and I'll be wearing my Koenma costume. ^_^ I hope people will recognize me.
In other news, tonight I get to go home. :D Hooray! I'll be getting home fairly late, I think, since it's all the way back in PA.. Even though I'm happy to go back home, I did like it here a lot. :)
