Summary: Finn's excited to see everyone's reactions to something he's known for years and at the end is glad that high school reunions are always eventful.
(Finn’s POV)
As I looked around the ballroom that was holding our ten year high school reunion I couldn’t help but smile at the memories that we had all shared here all those years ago for our senior prom. A decent amount of people were here already but I knew that some of the more interesting entrances were going to come a little later in the night. When I saw Quinn enter the room I waved here down glad to finally see someone from New Directions. She saw me and started walking over and when she was close enough I pulled her into a hug.
“You look great Quinn.” I say when we pull away.
“And you’re still a giant.” She says with a smile on her lips, it’s a little awkward for a moment because we haven’t spoken in almost eight years but I decide to break the silence anyways.
“So how’re things with you? I heard through the grapevine a while back that you got married.”
“They’ve been good I wish Justin was here you two would’ve hit it off right away but he’s in the middle of his first big case so he wasn’t able to make it.”
“And what do you do?”
“I opened a flower shop, it’s not much but I love it. But what about you anyone special in your life?”
“Actually I just got engaged a few months ago her names Heather and she’s a kindergarten teacher. She was supposed to be here but her sister went into labor and Heather’s her birthing coach so she had to stay behind.”
“Well congratulations when’s the big day?”
“We haven’t set a date yet, but it’s not gonna be for a while I think Kurt would kill me if I made him stand up next to me while he’s pregnant.” I tell her and I see her eyes widen a little at my proclamation that Kurt’s pregnant, but she doesn’t get to say anything as Artie, Puck, and Tina descend upon us, and soon enough the rest of the old Glee club is here minus both Kurt and Sam.
“Finn where’s that step brother of yours he is coming isn’t he?” Tina asks me.
“Yeah Hudson where is he the guy basically fell off the face of the earth during college.” Puck says arm around the waist of his wife which still baffles my mind that Puck of all people has settled down.
“Speaking of people we haven’t heard about where’s Sam? Does anyone know what’s going on with him?” Rachel asks and everyone shakes there head besides me and Mercedes who lock eyes and smirk excited to see what everyone’s reactions will be when Sam does get here.
“I’m sure Kurt will be here soon, he most likely just wanted to be fashionably late or whatever.” I say.
“Or whatever? I’m glad to see you care so much Finn Hudson.” I hear behind me and smile when I see Kurt standing there behind me one hand on his hip as the other rests on the five month swell of his stomach. As soon as everyone else notices him the girls minus Mercedes descend upon him and start going crazy over his belly.
“Look at you! You’re pregnant and married!” Tina says taking a hold of Kurt’s right hand and looking at the ring before pulling him into a hug.
“That seems to be the case doesn’t it.” Kurt says a small smile playing on his lips.
“Oh like you being pregnant is anything new white boy! I can barely remember the last time I saw you and that husband of yours hadn’t knocked you up again.” Mercedes says playfully.
“I only knock him up because he’s unbelievably gorgeous carrying my children.” Another voice says wrapping an arm around Kurt’s waist and giving him a quick kiss. I have to stifle a laugh as everyone seems to stop talking and sits a little in shock as they register that it’s Sam who just made that announcement. After I catch Mercedes eye though I can’t hold it any longer and the two of us burst into loud laughter as the rest of them continue to stare in shock.
“Sam I think you broke them.” Kurt says after Mercedes and I have calmed down and I can tell that this is exactly the kind of reaction that both Kurt and Sam were hoping and expecting when they arrived.
“Ok when did this happen.” Santana finally says with her typical attitude that still hasn’t changed since high school.
“Officially? The summer between Freshman & Sophomore year, unofficially I think the January before.” Kurt says.
“I knew there was no way for someone with that big a mouth to be straight.” Puck says as Sam laughs at him shaking his head.
“Good to see some things haven’t changed Puck.” He says holding out a fist for Puck and the two bump fists as Kurt rolls his eyes and starts up a conversation with Tina.
“So you have to give me all the details, I mean god I thought I was going to see you hanging off Blaine’s arm tonight not Sam Evans. It must’ve been crazy how all of this happened.” She says.
“Crazy is putting it mildly Tina.” Kurt says and I snort at that and Kurt gives me a glare because crazy actually is an understatement when it comes to how Kurt and Sam got together.
The two were roommate’s freshman year, both still dating Blaine and Quinn respectively but then Kurt caught Blaine cheating on him and Quinn dumped Sam because long distance just wasn’t working for her. Which led to them both getting completely plastered and sleeping together and deciding after that they would forget it happened which didn’t exactly work out when Kurt found out he was pregnant. Then that led to him and Sam trying to figure out what they wanted to do and Sam realizing he was in love with Kurt and trying to convince him that he actually wanted to be with Kurt because of that and just because Kurt was having his kid.
“So where’s Heather tonight I thought she was coming.” Sam says sidling up next to me after he’s finished a discussion with Artie about some sort of guitar.
“Jessica went into labor like two hours before we were set to come so she stayed behind. I wanted to too but she wouldn’t let me.”
“Well tell Jessica congrats when you get back for me.”
“Will do, and speaking of kids I have to agree with Mercedes Kurt’s been pregnant more months in the past five years then he hasn’t been.”
“Not true we waited for a whole year before we started trying again after Katherine was born.” He says referring to their second oldest child whose fifth birthday is coming up in a few months.
“Yeah but then Kurt got pregnant when Luke was only six months old.”
“Just wait you’ll know exactly why I love it when Kurt’s pregnant when you and Heather have kids.” Sam says taking a sip of his Sprite when I know he’d rather be drinking a beer but is refraining because he won’t drink if Kurt can’t. I’m just about to reply when I hear a voice exclaim behind me that makes me laugh and think that yeah high school reunions are always eventful.
“Fuck Evans you’ve knocked Hummel up five times! And people thought I had a super sperm!”
