Notes: Chapter 4 is the last boarding school chapter, and the end of Part 1. I strongly considered posting these first four chapters as their own, free-standing prequel to the rest of the story, so - there’s some degree of resolution of the 1943 plot arcs, in case that matters to any of you WIP-haters. :-) Next week we’re in 1954!
