Thank you so much for signing up! I’m excited to be participating in my first ever Yuletide, and I’m thrilled to read whatever you decide to write!!
Things I love a lot:
• People learning to communicate and trust each other
• Get-together fics
• Humor and banter (humor, banter, and angst is my favorite, but I’ll take anything)
• Happy endings
• Hurt/Comfort
• Characters confronting their fears
• Characters working together to confront difficult situations
• Team dynamics!
• Competence porn (see team dynamics)
• Found family
• Reveals (of feelings, secrets, etc. This goes hand-in-hand with “people learning to communicate and trust each other)
• Explicitly stated consent
• Plot-heavy fics are fine, but so are snapshots of inside a character’s head
• Sex where all participants are enthusiastically and emotionally engaged
• Domestic antics (e.g. characters lounging around at home, doing mundane things and being adorable)
• Missing scenes
BUT, feel free to try something new, too!!

Horatio Hornblower:
I adore Archie/Horatio. It’s my favorite thing. But, if you don’t want to write them being together, I’ll settle for their undying friendship. The most important thing to me is that they are a glorious team and they care about each other and look out for each other, even though they are so very different.
I’m also fine with Horatio/Archie/William, and I’d love to see how it comes about (this is assuming Archie doesn’t die in Kingston).
Sample Prompts:
• Archie takes Horatio to see a play at Drury Lane (or any other shore leave antics).
• Archie nursing Horatio back to health after he was released from the oubliette in El Ferrol.
• Missing scenes on the Justinian, Indy or Renown: how do our precious navy boys spend their time when they’re not on watch or performing the actions of the movies?
• Archie didn’t die in Kingston after all (Live Kennedy Universe fic), and he and Horatio are reunited. Note: if you do this, please find a way to set it before Maria Mason, because I don’t want Horatio to cheat on her. She has a hard enough time as it is.
Or, whatever you have in mind! Seriously, I will love it!
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries:
Characters: Phryne Fisher, Dorothy (Dot) Williams
Optional characters: Elizabeth McMillan (Mac), Jane
I don’t have particular ships. I mainly care about the deep friendships between all the characters.
• Anything that emphasizes the friendships between women, the found family element (Phryne collecting strays is my favorite thing), or Phryne’s competence and compassion will make me very happy.
• Case!fic, domestic antics, or just conversations between awesome women are all equally great!
Galavant:
Characters: Galavant, King Richard
Optional: Princess Isabella, Sid, Roberta, Tad Cooper (but they’re all great!)
I don’t have particular ships, but I’d be open to just about anything. Mainly, I love the banter, friendships, team dynamics, breaking the fourth wall, and the way the show overturns fairy tale tropes. If you want to write any songs for it, I will love you forever (but don’t worry, I’m not expecting that, because it would be REALLY ABSURDLY HARD).
Favorite friendships: Galavant, Princess Isabella, and Sid.
I also ADORE the season two friendship between King Richard and Galavant (and Roberta is pretty great, too).
Any type of banter between any of those characters, regardless of the premise, will make me very, very happy. Just please don’t slut shame Madalena: the show does enough of that.
