I thought a film version of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was in the works and Natalie Portman was rumored to be playing Lizzie?

(If you don't count this as remake, well, I wouldn't blame you, really. XD )

Kinda tired of seeing all of the same books being done over and over.

After looking a bit more into it, it appears Portman is no longer attached and I'm not sure if they've found someone to replace her (apparently they offered it to Blake Lively, which...I dunno). IMDB has a release date of 2013 for it, but that doesn't really mean anything.

Persuasion is my favorite Austen novel, so I had to give it props in my icon arsenal. :-)

Oh, I feel your frustration, but Mansfield Park has been made (with varying levels of success) at least 3 times? I'm talking about books that have never been adapted. For some, of course, there's a good reason why they haven't been adapted, but I wish producers would try to broaden things a bit. I get tired of seeing the same things over and over. XD The BBC seems to be doing a little bit better with that recently.

P.S. I thought the mini with Sylvestra Le Touzel from the 1980s was supposed to be a pretty decent adaptation? Or is that one not really true to the book, either? (Haven't read Mansfield Park, myself.)

The 1980s version on MP with Sylvestra Le Touzel is quite good. A bit wooden and theatrical like all BBC Austen adaptions from that time, but still one of the better ones.

You should hunt it down sometime if you're a fan of Mansfield Park. It's 6 episodes, so it really can't be worse than the 99/07 versions (other than being potentially dated, of course). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085052/

I've haven't watched it, so I have no opinion on it.

I forgot about Mansfield Park!!!
It seems like they make one about every ten years, so maybe after 2017...
Is there any actress you'd like to see play Fanny?
