We've often had tornado warnings and since living in Lubbock I constantly monitor the weather activity when there's storms around. Sunday afternoon, I was doing my normal laundry and trying to catch up somewhat on my soap operas when i noticed we were under a tornado warning. Not unusual for us, happens quite a bit this time a year. But to look out your back door and see a funnel cloud isn't something that you could ever prepare yourself for. I've always been fasinated by them, love the movie Twister, but sure the hell didn't like seeing what I saw. They referred to them as "low energy" tornados and there were several several reports of them all over lubbock. At one time they told us on the news that there was 4 in our area. Talk about send your stress level high. There was aparently two touch downs very close to us, but only minor damage was reports. With the "low energy" they said roof damage and blown out windows was common. Let me just say, in my opinion a tornado is a tornado and I know that they can get quite bad and we were all quite lucky that it wasn't anything more than that, but it was still quite scary. http://www.kcbd.com/Global/story.asp?S=6277386 Other than that I've been keeping pretty busy. Between Pampered Chef, the kids, and the house by the time evening comes I'm just ready to sit down play some poker and watch some TV.
Went to Dallas for Spring Break and that was a nice trip. It was great to spend some time with H&K, that's for sure. I sure do miss having them around and with them always working it was nice. We talked about going out in June sometime and bringing the kiddos. Sounded like lots of fun to me. I'll be bringing Jonathon to Alpine for his birthday, it's what he wanted to do, so it'll be good to get more quality time with him. It's nice to have a place to take him and we're able to spend time together, giving James and Julia quality time together too.
Oh, it's getting late so I shall go now. I hope everyone is doing well, and if I haven't heard from you I sure would like to.
Hugs for those that would like them.
