I keep reading comparisons of this movie to "Blair Witch Project". I don't think that type of build up for a movie using the internet and original filming can be duplicated
... doing that is not realy new. I remind one of the for me personally most scaring movies was "The Haunting"(original b/w version from the 60's). What made the movie so scary was that you never saw a ghost. You saw only what the ghosts caused. Like, knocking, voices, doors bulging out and so on. At the most horror movies you can say to yourself: "Yeah, yeah, scary thought, but something like that(monster) couldn't exist in realty..." But with something you can't see directly, you couldn't tell that yourself. :)
