Dirty monkeys, yes. Real monkeys, no.

This was a very busy weekend but before I start into that I just want to say that I am shocked that I did not get any comments on my last entry.  I have come up with two reasons why.  One)  My LJ public all had the same fear and are rejoicing in your bathrooms that you were not alone.  You are probably out celebrating how normal you are and are to busy to respond.  Two)  No one reads LJ anymore.  Everyone has left and gone to the very overrated myspace.  I think this maybe the reason but I am going to let myself believe the first one.

Anyway, this weekend was very busy.  My nephews were staying at my parents house this weekend and that means that Mr. B and I were staying at my parents also.  Saturday we went to the zoo in DC.  That was a lot of fun but my parents wanted to walk around the entire thing!  Mr. B and I would not have made it that far if it was just the two of us because once he started to get tired I would have left.  My mom told me to just strap him into the stroller and let him scream til he fell asleep.  I was to tired to care and my back was killing me so I did it.  I think my mom was tired of hearing me tell Mr. B that I brought the stroller and the wagon so people did NOT have to carry him.  After he screamed for about five minutes (my mom says it was only 30 seconds) he finally gave up and took a nap.  He slept through the last part of the zoo and all the way home.  That was good because it meant that I did not have to lean over the arm rest of my seat so that he could hold a clump of my hair all the way home like he did all the way up to the zoo.  Other than that it was fun.  I had not been to the zoo in a few years and they had a lot more animals since the last time I went.  We even saw the baby panda.  I will post pictures tomorrow.

Sunday we went to the Discovery Days at Aquia Landing.  I was very happy to find that there is a beach type setting so close to home.  I am going to take Mr. B on the weekend but it closes at Labor Day so I don't have much time.  We saw the Godspeed ship that the settlers at Jamestown came to America on and joined the Army.  We also visited a man wearing a loin cloth.  Other than the loin cloth he did not look much like an indian.  The best news is that we are getting a new winery in Stafford county!!  So close!!  It will open in May 2007!  Very exciting.  It's Potomac Cellars.  www.potomaccellars.com

I will post pictures tomorrow.
