Another great weekend!

Friday after work I headed downtown to spend the weekend with the new girlfriend, Angela.

I got there around 7 pm and after the obligatory hellos, I started on supper. I had decided earlier in the week that I was going to make us a chicken alfredo over linguine. We threw in some fresh mushrooms and peppers and made a very nice dinner. Angela had also picked up a french loaf and she made us some yummy garlic bread. After supper we sat down to a funny movie (Super Troopers, one of my favorites). After the movie, I gave Greg a call to finalize our plans for Saturday. Weather permitting, we decided to meet at Humber Bay Park at 2 pm. After the phone call, we called it a night.

We were up fairly early on Saturday and with no set plans for the morning, I made us grilled cheese sandwiches for breakfast and we watched Strangeland. You may notice a trend of movie watching as Angela does not have cable. After breakfast and the movie, we decided to take a shower to prepare ourselves for our afternoon outing. Unfortunately, due to the crappy, rainy weather, it was decided that we would be better off postponing our outing for another day (which turned out for the best as Angel ended up getting ill and Greg spent the day tending to her - we're glad she's feeling better) and Angela and I played a game of Life. After the game, we were feeling a little stir crazy so we decided, to hell with the weather, we needed to get out of the house for a while. We got dressed, grabbed our umbrellas and went for a walk up Spadina to a chinese grocery store to pick up some supper supplies. We picked up squid, fish and shrimp balls, noodles, and a garlic/hot pepper oil for a fish-ball soup. Then we walked to Rabba fine foods and picked up a McCain's Deep 'N' Delicious marble cake and some Heavenly Hash ice cream for dessert. We were a little cold and wet from the walk so we decided to take a "nap" before we made supper. We woke up around 10 pm, and Angela started on the soup. It was really good, and spicy. After supper we watched Bandits and went to bed.

Even though we didn't get to bed until after 2 am, we were still up at 7:30 am. We had some fishball soup for breakfast and watched Badder Santa and had another "nap" and then talked for a bit before showering. About 2 pm we decided to take a walk to the Harborfront and look around at the International Marketplace. It was a beautiful afternoon. We picked up a couple of Iced Capps from Tim Horton's and sat and talked. After we finished the Iced Capps, we continued our walk up to Front St. accross to Spadina and back down to the apartment. We watched Club Dread and then ordered in Swiss Chalet for supper. Then we watched Corky Romano and we took another "nap". A little after 9 pm I finally got my stuff together to head back home. I really didn't want to leave. I got home a little after 10 pm to find that our new washing machine arrived on Saturday and briefly chatted with Tim and Heather before calling Angela to let her know that I had gotten home ok.

I can't wait to see her again.
