(no subject)
So, it seems that actually I only update after I've been drinking... But can you blame me? Oxford is an awesome place, with some of the nicest people on earth. Recently I've been hanging out with James, from Cumbria, one of about 4 northerners I've met since I've been here.
My tutorials with Glenys are very strange. Today, for example, she took my work, which beforehand she had circled in red and written "why?" by it, and in a big black pen, wrote "AH!" and drew a big smiley face. She also spent a lot of time with one of those books with strange images, which, if you stare at, turn into something else. Me and Mark both fail at those, but they're the same as Richard's cards I guess.
I've also seen my other tutor in the bar two nights in a row, and reports tell me he is there every night, which is cool. How many of you have people who just graduated as tutors?
I've kinda fallen in love with "tears don't fall" by bullet for my valentine, which about 3 people on my Flist can appreciate. Some serious metal there.
Tomorrow I'm going home, even though it's now pointless cos sodding royal mail say they've filled all the positions. So my dad will write an angry letter and claim expenses, and maybe also write to Claire Ward MP. So instead I applied to help out with interviews in 9th and 10th week. Dunno if I'll get it, but could be cool. Free food and accomodation for 2 weeks. Only thing is I probably can't go see anyone this Xmas, until new year.
But I might see Richard and Matt this weekend, cos they're both around, which is cool.
I will probably do postcards and letters or whatever soonish, I guess. I owe a couple. Some more serious than others. So yeah, be prepared...
Personally, I await the day that my pidge has something in, and James' doesn't... cos he always gets more post than me when we go together...
