So . . . I may be getting a few fox pelts soon -- coyotes if I can pull it, but I doubt that'll happen, sadly. Four red fox (ranched, I think, 'cause they're monstrous 55" long tip to tip) for a slick price that I'll make into a fluffy blanket. My kid sister will pay a small amount for the tail and face of one (she's makin' a costume, so cute!) and I'll sell the others.
The only reason I'm even thinking about spending that much money is because the end product will be something FUNCTIONAL. I'm a saver (a miser) by heart and even if it's something I really want, I'm extremely hesitant to pay for anything unless it's got a clear function. After I bought my first fox, I about had a heart attack from buyer's remorse. *rolls eyes*
It'll be more than I'd prefer to pay for anything but I feel I'm still getting a tremendous deal.
I've given myself another week to think and look things over before laying any money down, just in case.
PS. If anyone's got three or four nice coyote pelts that they'd be willing to part with for $30/pelt (or less), let me know.
