"Across the city, Lights flickered into existence. No one was out to watch the curious spectacle; no one saw the blue-white glow twink across the dark expanse. There was no order and no rhythm. No majestic flow of a growing, growling pyre, bright and consuming. Instead, there was a dance, pockmarked and awkward, but somehow, somehow beautiful in its rippling and uneven movements." - from 'The Lights of Amarkand'

That's all you're getting, kids. :D

I'm working on my ulu sheathe. It's coming along swimmingly except for the strap arrangement. It looks homemade, but I like it. I'll spruce up the stitches with a nicer looking stitch, and I'll even out some of the crooked lines. It's made from scrap leather with a black felt lining.

I can't wait to try out my knife on the beaver pelt. If anyone's got some decent leather scraps (preferably beaver tail, but I'm not getting my hopes up) that they'd be willing to get rid of, make a note.

It's snowing, again, but nothing's sticking.

I can't wait for spring.
