Study avoidance!
I had planned to do some reading before class today. Hah! I'd much rather piss around on the 'puter.
My brother came up for a visit last weekend. It was funnish. Traditionally, our relationship has been based on a sort of armed truce with occasional skirmishes, so I wasn't sure how we would get along. It went well though. It was the Tai Chi Ji Hong college annual banquet/New Years celebration. It was awesome. There were so many courses! Food just kept appearing. And there were some way cool demonstrations. They are sending a whole bunch of people to try and qualify for the Olympics, they are v. good. My favorite were the sword ones because they had flowing robes and sashes and tassels and they did all these amazing spin moves and everything would fly around and it was awesome.
After the banquet we headed to a pub to watch the end of the Oilers/Flames game. We must have jinxed it because they were tied until we got there. Tim came with us, he genetically modifies food! I've always been a bit suspicious of that (because, really, who need cheese flavoured cauliflower?) but he is alright. He is trying to increase the oil yield from Rape Seed. I know that is the British name for it but I simply cannot remember the North American name....um....Canola! Right. So that's what he does. And he is also one of our alternate instructors for Tai Chi.
We also went to see Wild Hogs which I enjoyed bcse of William H. Macy. I adore him.
Anyway. I really must get something done. Blah.
