Wee I'm back! Not that I left, though. I was trying to enjoy, once again, our short vacation.
Oh! Good news first. I passed all my subjects last summer classes! I've been dreading to see my grades since the final exams.. I guess it pays off to study really hard. I was too used to taking things for granted back in high school because it was easy (well, sort of.) to pass, so it was real pressure when I decided to stop reading novels and playing online games (hahah) for the time being so I can concentrate on my studies.
Of course, after that, I drowned myself in my books again. I finished A Clash of Kings weeks ago. I started reading Daniel Steel's No Greater Love, and was about to finish it the second day, but decided to stop. It might be because I can't connect well with romance, but I've read some books with romance in it (like Memoirs of a Geisha, Lovely Bones, The Vampire Chronicles, Norwegian Wood, etc) and I enjoyed them pretty well... Or maybe, as I was thinking last night, it might just be because I don't like the main character. I don't know, really. So I started A Storm of Swords and Kafka on the Shore.
Ohmygah Kafka on the Shore is catchy. It's one of Haruki Murakami's, and I admire the author very much, so I decided to buy the book. I wanted to get The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, but couldn't find it in the bookstore. Instead, I bought Kafka and wasn't disappointed so far, at least.
Aside from that, I've been busy re-reading and re-watching Death Note. I suddenly remembered it when I was lying down doing nothing one day inside my room. I saw the death note my friend gave me, and decided to see the whole thing again. It was a very smart anime. One of my favorites.
...
I'm talking books again. I might be a boring person, after all. I don't do things much, only think, and think, and think. Of course I could be an asshole at times (that's teenage years, for sure) but I keep those things a secret--and limited. I don't want my parents scolding me more than they're doing now.
We had a sleepover after exams at my friend's house. The friend who has a haunted house and a haunted older sister. I wasn't much scared of the place because I was enjoying the piano (and the food). The only moment worth mentioning must be that time when everyone was upstairs and there was a loud bang downstairs. My friend (the owner of the house) went down to check and came back asking us where we left the knife after cooking. We said we left it in the kitchen, of course. And she told us the knife was in the middle of the living room. I went down to look, and yes the knife was there, but I told them it must be because I cat got in and who knows what it did. I was laughing at her the whole time. As Arya Stark said, "Fear cuts deeper than sword."
Anyhow, I'll end this with some pictures I took during the sleepover. I'm no photographer, so sorry if they look awful.
