The Count of Monte Cristo--book and movie. Some spoilers, I guess.

I finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo yesterday, and I just finished watching the movie adaptation a few minutes ago. Now I wish our comparative analysis in Literature was about this book and not Twilight.

I have read MANY classics. My brother is such a book nerd and I didn't want to feel like I lost to him (because he's better at everything!) so I made sure I kept up with his readings ^^
Wasn't it you that I was talking about the Anne Rice books with? If it was, you have a great taste in readings!

hahahah, yep, I'm the Anne Rice girl. x)) And you, too, Tear! That's why I love talking to people who read what I read. I just started reading the classics, though. My first was Wuthering Heights. I think my next would be Les Miserables. I wonder if it's good. hmm x) Or do you have any suggestions? :DD

If someone used a cheesy Twilight-like line on me, I would laugh in their face. If someone used a Lestat-like line on me, I might fall in love ha ha
I actually haven't read Les Miserables! My brother has and he said it's alright.
I'm sure you've read The Scarlet Letter and To Kill a Mockingbird, right? If you haven't, To Kill a Mockingbird will always remain one of my favourite books! I love it so much!
Animal Farm is another really good one and so is The Great Gatsby.
George Orwell is definitely an author you should check out!
If you're looking for something a little more twisted, A Clockwork Orange is amazing.

Unfortunately, I haven't read those two yet, but I'm planning to read The Scarlet Letter. it's by Nathaniel Hawthorne (spell?! lol)'s right? i read one of his short stories and enjoyed it a lot. oh, I envy you! i wish I have the money to buy those books. lolol

Talking about this reminds me of a funny story. One of Suki's brothers is IN LOVE with Romeo and Juliet. One of my cousins that isn't related to him, loves it too. One day he was trying SO hard to remember a line from it. He kept repeating "Peace, i hate the word." Then he would be like WHAT COMES NEXT!? he was getting so frustrated. My cousin walks through the room and goes "Peace? Peace. I hate the word, as I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee."
Then she turned around and walked out. His face went pale and he turned to me and said "I think I'm in love with her." It was only the third time he's ever seen her ha ha

Yes, The Scarlet Letter is by Nathaniel Hawthorne. You've got to check To Kill a Mockingbird out from the library or something. Oh my goodness I'm obsessed! That's what is good about the library. You can always check a book out even if you don't have money ^^

My friend says To Kill a Mockingbird IS a good read. Honestly, I've been hearing a lot about it before just that I didn't pay attention that much. Then I shall try reading it, too, since you suggested it. Anyone who loves Anne Rice could be trusted about books! x)

Yep ^^ She heard him trying to figure it out. And coincidentally it is my cousin's favourite line of the movie, so she came in and said it, then just as quickly left the room. It was pretty funny ^^

I really don't think you'll be disappointed if you read it. If someone told me they hated that book, I'd probably call them an idiot. Even if it isn't your favourite, there are so many good points and strong characters. Ah! I love it! Sorry for being such a freak ha ha

Oooh, I haven't seen the movie, though. (Or maybe I did, but forgot..) I tried reading the play when I was younger but I didn't have the patience to understand the language. hahahah

I've seen so many versions of the movie. There honestly is so many out there! The one with Leonardo DiCaprio is SUCH a good modern day take on the story.

I have heard of The Hunger Games. I haven't read them yet, but my brother just started them so now I feel like I need to! ha ha And i might actually go see the movie tonight.

I read the first book. I was curious because the plot didn't revolve around a girl meeting a gorgeous but mysterious guy who's suddenly a vampire or a troll or whatever. LOL And I watched the movie last night. Josh Hutcherson. ♥ lololol

I need to go see the movie! My boyfriend works late all week so I probably won't get to see it until next weekend.
I think Josh Hutcherson is alright. But have you ever seen his friend in real life, Avan Jogia? Oh man, that boy is HOT! I have a Tumblr dedicated to him ha ha

Basically, yeah. He'll be like "So Tear, I'm reading the Grapes of Wrath, and there's this part where--" and I'll be like "--You're reading The Grapes of Wrath again!? But it's so boring! Then let me borrow it when you're done, geez."

*googled Avan Jogia* ohmygoodness. He IS hot. I wondered why he's name's not familiar to me, and then looked at his filmography and found out why. I don't think I watched any of his films. (stupid)
To be honest, I'm wasn't a big fan of Josh. lol But I liked the character he played in HG, and he was really good as Peeta. So I decided to be a fan. x)) (Yeah, sorry to those fangirls who were his fans before the Hunger Games.)

What! Why is it like that. Why is it that when I'm like--"Oh, King Arthur wasn't angry when he found out that Lancelot is Guenevere's lover.." my brother and sister would be like--"Who's Lancelot?" or "what are you talking about?" then leave. He reminds me of Alladin, for some reason. lol. Oh, I wish I could watch more television shows. It's because I'm always in front of my computer. And if not, I'm in front of my books. And that's also why I don't know the names of people in showbiz. lolol

HAHAHAHAH! IKR!! But I guess it's understandable with my siblings because they don't read that much. Too focused on their music or something. Or basketball. And football. And volleyball. Ohmygah I'm the weirdo in the family. x))
