as those of my close friends know, i love the show "jericho". it really strikes a deep cord in me. I can really relate with alot of the characters, and can think of how id react given the situation that has happened in the series.
now, i find out that my show has been cancelled. that is very bad. but to find out that the CEO of CBS has decided that he is not going to be renewing the series for a second season becuz the ratings "were to low" as he put it, and how it would "cost money" to renew the series. WHAT ABOUT WHAT THE PUBLIC WANTS!!! isnt that what the golden rule of showbiz is, giving us, the viewers, what we want? to the CEO, i guess its not. its about what makes him richer. nevermind the fact that if he shell's out a few dollars from the cbs bank to reintroduce the series, im sure he'll make a whole crap load of money in the long run. HEY, YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY!!!!
Heres another idea. Sure, we can go after the CEO, send him tons of nuts, emails, we can post comments on blogs and live journals, and myspace places, but what will that really accomplish? it will bring alot of attention to the deal, but it will not push the CEO into our line of thinking. instead, what is his bottom line? TO MAKE MONEY!! Of course, why didnt i think of that? Wait, i did, and heres my answer: GO AFTER THE COMPANIES THAT WANT TO SELL THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS TO CBS!!! We have to let them know that if they buy into CBS, then we will boycott their products, no matter what they are selling. I guarentee that if 2-4 MILLION people who love JERICHO and decide not to buy any products sold on CBS, then that will definitly hurt those company's, thus hurting CBS 'cuz of the sudden lack of revenue coming in.
