I LOVE YOU, SRSLY YOU COMPLETELY MADE MY DAY

First I squee a lot with the Hemingway talk, then you, you, YOU are amazing L, for real, it doesn't matter the fandom, you sort things out and get the characters right, and the way you write, with little details, is so amazing, and I can't even. This left me speechless...

I can't pick a sentence cuz I absolutely loved everything about this fic...
Thank you ♥

YAY!! I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKED THIS, LAU!

I was sooooo worried about writing these two because I am completely in love with the show (and that gif: AUGH, KATE BECKETT IS SO ADORABLE, DREAMY, PERFECT, ETC ETC) and to hear that you liked this has completely and totally made my day ♥ ♥ ♥

Thank you so much for the completely amazing prompt -- I had a blast thinking of all the different ways they could have ended up making out at Beckett's door ;)

NO I DIDN'T LIKE IT, I LOOOVE IT :P

you've no idea how happy I am to hear that you're in love with Castle, and TY for the amazing fic... I need these 2 to get together (moonlighting curse or not, they'd be awesome)

THE MOONLIGHTING CURSE IS A SCAM (or, haha, at least I like to say it is; a twenty-year-old show is such a silly reason for two super-sexy people not to end up together!)

And they would be SO AWESOME TOGETHER. I know there's some...sensitivity in Castle fandom about comparing this show to Bones, but they are are similar in a lot of ways and I think that show is a PERFECT example of the "curse" that comes with keeping the leads apart for too long when it's COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY OBVIOUS that they are madly in love and belong together.

One of my favorite things about Castle is how EVERY SINGLE GUEST STAR mentions that Castle/Beckett are in love with each other and I have high hopes for a hook-up by the end of the season!

LOOOOL ITA!

And yes, I know, Bones lost a lot of viewers because of that, I hate to see that happening to Castle, but just like you, I hope the season finale to blow our minds and have sexy timez :P

Loved this too (and second your comments about Beckett above). I think your scenario where the breakup with Josh is more or less a throwaway line is exactly what we will see (if that) in the show and it's entirely in character. A momentous throwaway, but thrown away none the less.

I think we have some hope of having this couple 'work' if only because the oh-so-talented Castle writers have two opposite ends of the spectrum precedents to avoid - Moonlighting (where the leads hated each other and the writers were hopeless) and Bones where they might as well be brother and sister for all the chemistry that's left.

So why don't we start a petition to get you hired on with Marlowe and co.?

Ugh, I sadly agree with your comments on Bones. The writers/producers/whoever on that show have made some really bizarre decisions with Booth/Bones. Like, the two of them have admitted to being in love for like three seasons now and they're...still not together? I don't understand their choices, for real. I sincerely hope that the Castle writers turn out to be smarter than that.

But I also (happily!) agree that the Josh-break-up will probably be a throw away. When I was writing this, I had to add the scene in where she mentions Josh because I legit forgot she even had a boyfriend until I was reading someone else's post and I was like, "wait, who is Josh?" He's basically a non-issue on the show anyway, I think, so I doubt there will be a big, sad, angst-filled break-up. Beckett seems pretty meh on him anyway; he's clearly just a Castle placeholder at this point.
