I can still feel the thrill running through me right now. As I turn around to look at the time, I notice that if this was yesturday, I'd be watching O-Town grace the stage at Halifax, Nova Scotia. Since I want to try to get every detail in as I can, I'll start from Sunday afternoon on. So here goes... oh and excuse any typos, lol. I'm kinda still phased.
Sunday was a beautiful day. Warm and sunny... perfect weather. Shauna, who'd came over the other night, was a bit hard to wake up at 10 in the morning but after poking her enough and playing 'Whats Your Fantasy' for her, she woke up.
We got ready, very hyped about the day, and at 1:30 pm we left for Halifax. We drove the hour and 15 minutes it takes to get there and at around 3pm Mom and Dad droped Shauna and I off across the street from the Metro Center. I saw 2 busses and 3 trucks when we got out and another truck was down the street.
We walked around for what seemed like forever, when it was only 15 minutes... and heard screaming. One thing came to mind: they're here. We made our way slowly up the sharp hill to the Hotel we found out they where stayin at. Peaking around the corner, we saw some girls and the bus. We was about 40 ft away and I tried to see them, but no luck, so we walked down the hill, not really interested in hearing the girls screaming.
Hours later, bored out of our minds, we took a seat close to the hotel and kept an eye out, hoping we could bump into them. No luck :( But thats ok.
At 6 we lined up to get inside, and laughed to ourselves at the fans painted arms and signs. One of the members (as far as I know it was only one member) from Wave walked around and signed autographs. The girls in front of us insulted him by calling him a midget only cos he was short. I was like, how disrespectful can you be?! They were loudmouths anyway.
Once the doors opened, we got in and found our seats, the excitement mounting when we noticed we could see them getting ready backstage. From about 6:40 to 7:30 we sat there watching people file inside. Then around 7:40-45 the lights went down and the opening act (KC I think her name was) came out after this dude annouced her. I honestly didn't like her. Her songs had a good beat, but she screamed when she sang and I couldn't hear was she was saying.
Then, after she sang about 4-5 songs, the lights went back on again and for about 10-15 minutes they set up for Wave. 2-5 minutes later, Wave came out and they're actually really really good =) I liked them. I really like 'California'. During that song they threw out a beachball and two little kids faught over it. That was quite amusing for awhile. After Wave, the annoucer came back on and said that O-Town was going to be on in 30 minuts. I looked over at Shauna and said "HALF AN HOUR?!?!?" We looked at my watch.... it was 8:30pm. A bit aggrivated, I watched them set up the stage a little and turned to Shauna, saying I was going to get us glow sticks to wave when they preformed 'All Or Nothing'... big mistake. Once I left and neared the mercantdising, I was smothered. I've never felt so closterphobic. I felt like I was never going to get out of there! But soon I made my way out and got back to our seats. I didn't get the glow sticks unfortuatly. But hey, I didn't really wanna be smothed more than I already had been. It felt like I was stuck for like 10-15 minutes, when Shauna told me it was 3-5. So after that uncomfortable experiance, we sat and watched the growds gather and the rodies set up the stage. What fun *heavy sarcasim*. Then at around 9, the lighs whent down once again and the screams came louder than before. The annoucer came out and said something (I'm not very sure of what people said, the screams was so loud I couldn't tell =| ) like "Are you ready for O-TOWN!" and the screams got louder, if they could. The guy left the stage, the stage lights flashed and flickerd and the black curtin fell and the front row finally got a view of the odd tube thingys Shauna and I could see all along. I jumped to my feet, as did Shauna when the band stared playing. Excitement and adrinalin filled my viens as the tube thingys fell and all 5 members stood there to hold on the screams. Soon they burst into 'All for Love' and came down the steps and ramps.
The best part of the show was the solos... wait, the whole show rocked, but well,... anyway. Jacob did an awsome job for someone who'd injuried his back pretty bad. I was worried he wouldn't dance, but he did really wonderful. His solo was just, perfect. Trevor is an awsome rapper, his rendition of 'Ms.Jackson' by Outkast just KICKED ASS. Erik sang 'Purple Rain' and Ashley sang a 'GOO GOO DOLLS' song. I dunno all of the songs and arists the guys used for their solos... I felt so lost, lol =) The grinding and pelvic thrusts and... wow, it just all blew me away. They're all amazingly talented guys! There was only one song that Jacob didn't really dance durning, I forget the name of it. But he was just a ball of hyper energy man!
Shauna couldn't get over how tiny he was, lol.
The show ended with 'All Or Nothing' and before everyone left Jacob said "We love you Halifax and we'll be back soon". I was thinking, "You better."
At 11, the show was over and we got lost trying to find my parents, lol! But we did pass the limo, although they weren't in it. Chicks started fallowing the empty limo. I cupped my hands around my mouth and said, "THE LIMO IS EMPTY, THEY ARE NOT IN THE LIMO!" but they kept running. I turned to Shauna and said, "The limo was a distraction so they can get on the bus..... wait a sec...THEY'RE IN THE LIMO, FALLOW THE LIMO!"
All in all the night was great. The guys where super and I cheered them all on =) Kinda just a tad bit louder for Jacob when he did his solo, but Erik, Dan, Ash and Trev got my support as well =) Ya'all was great.
