I'm liking the way you're playing with canon here! "Behind the scenes" fics are always interesting! ^^ I've never thought of the way the Ishvalans viewed Xing... Very interesting point!

Hehe, indeed. FMA's canon has a lot of stuff already established, but at the same time leave many stuff open. And yeah, the way I'm thinking is the Ishvalans might not be too keen on Xing's alkhestry. The inspiration for the Xerxes scene is enemytosleep's fic No Sound of Water. She had her own take how the Xing characters and the Ishvalans meeting went. I now realize our interpretations are similar, although I try to have my own take on it, hehe. ^^;
