Since the Friday Fiver crew hasn't posted today's questions, I dug these up from the archives:
1. What is one personality trait that you can both loathe and admire in a person?
Self-confidence. I truly appreciate people who believe in themselves, their abilities, and talents. On occasion, self-confidence borders cockiness and in some instances, arrogance.
2. How do you react when you've just told a joke that completely bombed?
Turn red, feel mortified, and stay quiet for the rest of the time.
3. When you’re sick, do you prefer to have people doting on you or would you rather everyone left you alone?
Doting on me....making sure I'm comfortable, making me soup, and making sure I take my medicine.
4. Do you prefer books/movies/stories that you can relate to, or ones that can take you far away from reality?
Definitely books/movies that I can relate to. I have a very hard time suspending reality which is why I never got into Lord of the Rings or the Harry Potter craze.
5. What's your preferred explanation of why we dream? Is there any deeper meaning or is it all random?
I think dreams are our mind's way of running through events/feelings we've experienced in the near-term. I think it can be a window into one's current emotional state, but I wouldn't ever view it as an indicator of future events.
