Why is it that when we stop talking to someone or stop being friends with them and see them on the street we ignore their existence? We pretend that we don't even know the person and just pass them by like they're just everyone else, a face we don't recognize even though we use to see it with every emotion a face could have at one time? Is it a sign that you still care for that person by acknowledging them? Or are you afraid to show you care when they don't making yourself vulnerable? But then again there are others that try to make themselves look better by sticking up their nose and strutting by like they're better than you. They try to inflict awkwardness in you or try to make you question yourself. It's amazing how we try to protect ourselves even in the most trivial situations by either saying nothing at all or by trying to hurt. No one in this situation ever really wins no matter what they say.
