You help so many people on a daily basis that I don't think anybody would slight you in the least for being momentarily "selfish" (and that's not really the proper word) and taking care of yourself. You're a human being, and human beings grieve. That's what makes us human. Although elephants seem to grieve their dead, too, and elephants are incredible creatures, but I guess that's not really the point here

You made me cry and smile at the same time with your comments. Elephants are amazing creatures, both strong and sensitive at the same time.

I am sure most would understand my sadness. A few in my workplace are incredibly self involved so probably are cranking that I'm not there because they actually might have to answer a few additional calls. No exaggeration here. Just fact. But as I said, I don't care.

But I would like to say that I misplaced my glasses early this morning, and it was quite a terrible, momentary loss. So, I'll just pretend that you were doing the whole "wind beneath my wings" thing and sharing in my grief for my missing glasses.
