It's almost twelve o'clock midnight - normally a time when even the Maryland household would be largely quiet. Tonight, it's even more so. A Maryland legend has passed away, one particularly of sensitive standing with Tallulah. So, even though it's midnight, there's a particularly tiny, pink haired figure outside lowering the Maryland and American flags outside the Maryland house. All flags will be at half mast in Maryland, and Baltimore in particular, in memory of William Donald Schaefer. The former
governor and mayor was the face of Baltimore since before he earned either of those offices, a man who painted schools and cleaned trash from alleyways himself, and even went door to do to Baltimore citizens. That, and he changed the face of Tallulah's beloved inner harbor entirely with the addition of Harbor Place, Camden Yards, and the National Aquarium. So it's no surprised the the little Maryland city has taken a break from her game playing to lower the flag, hiding her face with a hoodie against the chill of the night, and to hide her sniffling face. Understandable, considering it was Schaefer that pulled the harbor from a depressing fate and, all in all, played a large part in saving her beloved city from falling into the hell pit of being nothing for no one.
Feel free to drop by the Maryland house - everyone's pretty awake at this point, though the lights are deliberately dimmed.
