(no subject)
So I spent most of my day yesterday at Mass General with Marisa. It was my first nursing shift alone with her and of course she has something go wrong and blood was pouring out from her wound all out from under her staples....I had about 500 heart attacks yesterday.
Apparently it's one of the sutures underneath the staples so our healthcare system's answer is to let it bleed for the next few days and have her keep her appointment Monday. We waited about 5 hours in the ER to have them do nothing. Her useless Doc is in NY for the weekend. Let it bleed. There are many bandage changes to be had let me tell you.
I'm happy to be spending time with my sister though. I don't know what happened to me. I used to be so much better in a crisis.
