Drunk again...so I'll take the time to post. There's not really much to do here in Daito in the evening but drink, watch tv, browse the internet or maybe have sex I suppose; though there are NO night clubs or anything like that here...in fact, I would doubt the existence of a love hotel here if it weren't so much a part of the Japanese young peoples' culture. Or something like that.

Anyway, today...keitai. Or in English if you prefer - cell phones. They are such a big part of life here. Like, in the states I never used my cell phone. Sure, I have one, but I don't really use it. Here, if I don't have my keitai with me, I feel as if something is horribly wrong. Like, the way keitai work here, you can pretty much do anything with them. Take pics, movies, send email..whatever. They kind of work like AIM...so, if you have your keitai with you, it's like have access to aim at all times. So you can keep in touch with people and send them pics as you take them. And since sending mail is cheaper than calling people, most people prefer to send mail...which is obviously the exact opposite of the US, where being able to send email with your cell phone is rather new.

Don't you just love these "Japan is like this..." and "America is like this" posts? Oh man, I just eat them up.
